How did the SNP membership find themselves being asked to support The Hate Crime Bill and GRA? Policies none of them were ever allowed to discuss or vote in at Conference. How does it happen?
The above is a good example of how it can be achieved. Demand support for it when people are at their most vulnerable, when they are looking for support to get them higher ranked on a list. The last thing they want at that time is to get dragged into a controversy over such a divisive issue where they are aware of the very militant chorus of GRA zealots who will pile in if they fail to succumb to the demand.
Of course at this exact moment those GRA and Thought Police Hate Crime Bill supporters are professing undying dedication to the cause of Independence. This will last until the day after May’s election then normal service will be resumed.
The problems is these days is that there are many more careerists on the climb than people of strong principle and character, more than able to see these tactics off and capable of inflicting damage on those who seek to bully and cajole.
What they are doing is not illegal. Some people will find it distasteful but the real solution to it is for folk to arrange a alternative pledge making clear opposition to the GRA and Hate Crime Bill and circulate that to potential candidates then publishing who signed it and who didn’t. That would concentrate minds. I would urge people NOT to vote for any candidate who has signed the above pledge.
The cabal who are responsible for the huge damage on the Party, whose latest outrage was the fixing of the number one spot in every region of the country get away with it because they are organised and focussed. THEY ARE PROVIDING AN OUTSTANDING REASON WHY MANY PEOPLE ARE PLANNING TO USE THEIR LIST VOTES TO VOTE FOR ANOTHER PRO INDY PARTY RATHER THAN BOTH VOTES SNP.
Opposition to them needs to be better organised, as motivated and able to communicate effectively with the vast bulk of the membership who do not support these policies. A majority that should be organising now for next years Conference to get rid of the remnants of the cabal who held on in November. Preparing resolutions to remove the vast majority of the NEC that are appointed rather than elected by the branches and members to the NEC. CLAIMING THEIR PARTY BACK.

FINALLY AN ASPIRING CANDIDATE IN THE SOUTH OF Scotland describes herself as OUT OF INDY rather than the more established title OUT FOR INDY. It is yet to be established if it was a mistake or just stating the truth!

She says in her address that she is indeed dyslexic, and that thus she identifies as ‘disabled’. I hope she has not indicated that she wishes to be included in the ‘reserved places mechanism’, don’t fancy her being placed above Joan McAlpine on the South of Scotland list.
