TWO RIP OFF’S

TWO RIP OFF’S

As I survey the Scottish political ground  it can be a very disturbing scene. The SNP have made a huge mess of things with not even a flicker of light indicating anything other than complete darkness ahead.

The missing £670,000 was bad enough but now stories of tens of thousands of pounds in cash being handed over to a senior official, which according to reports was never recorded in the Party accounts, has brought into question the power of HQ in the selection process. Another power grab from the ordinary membership creating the ability for the central power, or at least a small group of them to “influence” the selection procedures. I think that is what you call it when you can exclude candidates, usually local ones, who might have a level of local popularity that might interfere with the central authority being able to place a favoured candidate in any constituency.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the cultists to maintain there is nothing wrong. People affected by this process are now going public and I am aware of at least one other constituency that has already experienced this level of interference. I am unaware of whether money changed hands, I don’t think it did , but I know for certain that selection interference happened in that constituency at the last Scottish elections. It split the constituency asunder and what should have been an easy victory ended as an electoral setback.

What annoys me about all this was that I, and others, were warning about this long before it happened pointing to Angus Robertson’s constitutional amendments as being responsible for this centralisation of power into very few hands. As ordinary members lost power and influence the level of crucial transparency and accountability were diminished creating the “ opportunity” for these sort of problems to emerge. And emerge they have.

Damage limitation moves are already warning that the soon to be released Party accounts, from the new accountants, will include a warning qualification where they state that proper records do not exist for some donations, raffles etc. This announcement coming from the Party in advance of the full accounts being published. As someone who was once responsible for the entire Party’s fundraising and administration I find that news astonishing given the huge rise in staffing since my time. Surely any responsible management realises the crucial need for transparency in any largely voluntary organisation.( or at least it used to be).

The folly of having all the eggs in the one Party basket leaves Scotland impotent to the constant mission creep from Westminster. Today’s charade with King Charles visit to Edinburgh is another example, where every effort will be made to present Charles as already King of Scotland. This has been bizarrely welcomed by the First Minister, despite him knowing that Charles has not sworn the Scottish oath and is therefore not the King in Scotland. A title that does not legally exist. Our monarch is titled King of Scots and it requires a pledge to acknowledge and respect the sovereignty of the Scottish people and a solemn promise to protect the rents and privileges on behalf of the people. Without it he is no Monarch of Scots or Scotland.Charles cannot swear this oath as it would expose the crime of our oil and gas, our renewables all being stolen from the sovereign people of Scotland to fill Westminster’s coffers, all following on from the “Union of the Crowns in 1603”, an event that never happened. A myth that enables the Crown to seize all Scotland’s assets. All that happened was that Scotland’s King also became King of England. A single monarch but with two crowns, not one.

We can be certain of this for two reasons, firstly neither the Monarch or Parliament ever held the power to make deals involving the Scottish crown. They never owned it in the first place. Secondly think about it, this was happening 104 years BEFORE the Treaty of Union. There was no United Kingdom. Scotland and England were separate independent countries. Why would an Independent Scotland surrender the Crown of Scotland?

Ask yourself if the Crowns were United and the Scottish Crown extinguished why are there two Crown Offices? The Crown Office in England and Wales stops at the border and a separate Crown Office in Scotland is required to administer Scotland’s wealth. They can’t even call it the Scottish Crown Office because it’s necessary to maintain the ruse that Scotland’s Crown does not exist. But exist it does because legally in terms of International law the UK is not a “ voluntary union” but in practice an illegal annexation by England of Scotland’s resources.

They have no choice but to have two Crown offices because they need different rules to enable the theft to operate. In England the Monarch has the rights over every asset. This cannot be challenged but in Scotland these assets belong to the Sovereign people of Scotland. So they created a separate “Crown Office in Scotland” supposedly acting like a trustee on behalf of the people and it is this which they use to illegally plunder our resources.

So when I see the hapless Humza Yousaf supposedly heading a “nationalist Government” in Scotland kowtowing to the imposter who claims to be our Monarch I feel nothing but contempt for his lack of fight, of courage, of principle to defend the Scottish people and for allowing a rich nation like Scotland to have widespread child poverty in our midst, an energy cost crisis in the richest energy producing nation in Europe, and a cost of living crisis that is harming families the length and breadth of this country. Our Crown illegally used to keep our people poor!

Put simply we need to elect people with backbone and at least a rudimentary understanding of how our people are being fleeced in front of our eyes.

Humza, you need not apply.

I am, as always

Yours for Scotland.

BEAT THE CENSORS

Sadly some websites seek to censor what their readers have access to read. This is particularly true of sites whose existence is primarily to support the views of one particular party and they seek to block articles which do not slavishly support that particular doctrine. My readers have worked out that the best way to defeat that attack on the freedom of speech and thought is to share my articles widely, thus defeating any attempt at censorship. My thanks for this.

SALVO AND LIBERATION

Are playing a crucial role in taking Independence forward. This site limits donations to Yours for Scotland to a maximum of £3. We do not need more as all we seek to do is to cover the costs incurred in running the blog therefore once this is secured each year all further donations are forwarded to Salvo and Liberation. My thanks for all who choose to support us in this way. It is appreciated.

  1. I left the SNP because they ended Party Member involvement. It became Murrell Enterprises and it selected only those offering blind loyalty to Sturgeon as being suited to represent the Party.
The People’s YES Movement of 2012/2014 was crushed by the focus on Party Power.
Sturgeon IMPOSED her views on Gender ideology, eliminated any potential challengers, rigged the NEC with pliant affiliates and abandoned the drive for Independence.

In my view the Party cannot recover as the structure is riddled with a controlling Cult imbedded by Sturgeon to continue her policies.

Unfortunately it will take a decade for their demise but that final stage is inevitable.

This is how Sturgeon will be remembered.

    1. I’m really not being critical but when I hear people saying ‘it will take ten years before…’, say, a corrupt party dies or a similar sentiment like, ‘Sturgeon has put back independence for a generation’, it sounds more like an expression of inner disappointment and desperation rather than a rational analysis of the political landscape. Politics can move much more quickly than any of us can plan for. One minute you’ve got plenty left in the tank, the next, someone may or may not have been visited by the polis, and before you know it you’re cynically using somebody’s funeral as a high-minded excuse for your ignominious retiral from your million-dollar job. Now there’s naked desperation for you.
Recall that no-one expected an outright SNP win in 2011 but only three years later, we were finally wielding our full Scots’ sovereign power for the first time since it was stolen from us in 1707.
Corrupt organisations often disappear quickly. The latest SNP administration hasn’t faced a nationwide electorate yet, so all bets are off until then.
Having said that, I’m not seeing how the SNP can be saved but I won’t criticise those who stay and want to try to save it.

  2. An excellent breakdown of what is actually happening and how Westminster constantly steals our wealth, there has to be a reckoning sometime soon, and the sooner the better. The SNP are NOT the party Alex Salmond led, they are now in many ways weak and are happy to bend to Westminster dictacts, rather than stand up for the people of Scotland, Shame on them.

  3. To add, they will never, under recent and present FM’s , really go for Independence, they are conning their supporters, ( I am no longer one) they are happy to go cap in hand to Westminster no matter how much it steals from us. They prefer personal wealth rather than looking after the population of Scotland. They were the first party I voted for but after Sturgeon dodged the many mandates she had, I realised then there was no real push for Indy as now, it was all talk. They fill their pockets with impunity, at some point they will have to be held to account. I am disgusted, and the same with the King of England”s ” fake” coronation today.

  4. Leaving aside accusations of selling candidatures, gerrymandering selection procedures (Edinburgh Central) and imposition of candidates by HQ, there seems to be another issue with the election of candidates, namely a structured means of determining the most suitable, competent candidate.
Individuals such as Kirsty Blackman are frankly an embarrassment, yet they proliferate in the elected ranks of ALL political parties.
Without any knowledge of who presented themselves as alternatives to Blackman for the 2015 Westminster GE, it is possible that individuals who excelled at canvassing, manning street stalls and displaying general enthusiasm were rewarded by the electoral caucus. This seems like a natural reaction and is likely to have been present in many constituencies.
The solution is perhaps to de-personalise the process and look at technical qualifications and experience rather than individual character. This is after all the trend with candidates selection for other career posts where CVs go through a process of anonymising before being presented to the panel.
In practice this would be difficult under the present system where everyone knows everyone else in the active ranks of the constituency association.
That could however be overcome by introducing an “open primary caucus” system as is used in some American states. Here, candidate selection is widened to non party members who having less knowledge of the individual candidate’s personality will be influenced to a greater degree by the technical suitability of the candidate for the role. Potential benefits include:
    * Selection of technically competent candidates (aptitude for autodidactic development, previous management experience, a legal / accounting / science background)
    * Selection of a temperamentally suitable candidate (just how “happy” is out of her depth Blackman being asked to study complex legal issues, compose cogent arguments and present them in committee?)
    * Improve the legislative process (citing any number of clusterbùrachs in Holyrood)
    * Present the most impressive candidate up to the general electorate.

This is just a proposal, I’m sure there are potential drawbacks to an open caucus system. Would it generate milquetoast, “Stepford” politicians (to a greater degree than we already have)? Would we have pure technocrats devoid of campaigning “fire”?

    1. The solution in my mind is to go back to the original system where there is a central approved candidates list. The qualification here is whether any candidate can properly represent the Party, usually based round an ability to argue the case for Independence. There is no discussion about what seat they might be interested in contesting. Once approved the candidate can approach any seat seeking selection. In addition Constituencies have access to the approved list and can approach any approved candidate they think might be suitable. Through regular National Council Meetings all constituencies can judge the performance of delegates from all over the country. The election of the candidate is arranged locally and the decision communicated to HQ AFTER the vote.

      1. The system described puts all our eggs in the one basket. It was fit for purpose when the primary party for Scottish independence didn’t have the proven potential to harness at least 50% of public opinion. The system worked, or more precisely, was allowed to work. The Achilles heal being infiltration of HQ by the British state Security Services. In a centralised system, controlling the centre (centrally approved candidate list) confers omnipotence.
By distributing control of candidate selection to the constituency associations, MI5 would at least have their work cut out.

  5. Totally honest piece of work , Iain. Thank you.

I never liked Sturgeon but was prepared to continue to vote SNP. However her initial FM presentation, which was obviously organised by professionals, sickened me. I couldn’t stomach the ridiculous grandeur adopted by a failed solicitor. To this day I’ll never understand how she managed to fool Alex – the real Scot for Independence.
I’ll not be sorry when the creepy bunch are behind bars.

I don’t think they will ever be held to Account.
We have an English King being fraudulently presented as “King of Scotland” supported by Yousaf AND the Church of Scotland.
Then we have the media calling this fraud a mini Coronation FFS.

  7. Interesting to see the photographs today of the 6 foot high steel barrier that have been erected along the Royal Mile to St Giles Cathedral to keep people away from the Royal Charade that is being played out today with the pretender King Chuck and his bidey in Queen Camilla.

Sorry about being pejorative but he ain’t my King and the steel barriers tell you that he isn’t many other folks either.

And so he comes like a performing circus animal to act out his charade in a steel cage separated from the people. Be interesting how the world press, if they can be bothered with this Brit side show will report the 6 foot steel security barriers.

    1. The Heras fencing is apparently there to deter the climate change zealots. They will have been thoroughly infiltrated by MI5, whatever succeeded the Met’s Special Demonstration Squad, etc, so perhaps the barriers are necessary.
Of greater interest is the BBC’s repeated use of the term “crowds” while only offering close focus photos. If the “crowds” were there they’d be using distance shots.

  8. Someone made a post showing a Humza tweet fae 2020 and him saying that Scotland is guilty of centuries of colonialism, what he should have done was been more specific and named them. Tory MP Lucy has given him a hand by saying that Scottish people under Oliver
Cromwell were shipped off to the colonies and sold as slaves. Then of course people posted the reality of the working class. Wondering if today he will read out his accusations to Charles and the plundering of wealth from Scotland. Also wondering if he is going to name we Scots who have benefited from his accusations?

    1. Humza made an ass of himself with that speech. He should have checked out the percentage of what the population was and he knows full well there’s plenty of white Scots who also are not in privileged positions. There’s racism in all races but the vast majority of people don’t care about the colour of someone’s skin or religion. Nobody should be made to feel guilty for the colour of their skin, it’s not like we chose it. I have been subjected to racism before but because I am white Scottish it doesn’t seem to count. I have been discriminated because I am female which Humza left out of his hate crime bill. I have also been discrimated against for being a non Catholic. What did I do about it? Stood up to those who did and to the racists who told me that as a lowly Scot they kept me, I educated them using facts.

  11. The ancient Kings of Scotland had to make an oath to the people and the land, the Saxon pretender has no intention of being a King of Scots He is another oppressive overlord as much as Edward the Murderer was. We need liberation more than ever from UK, Ok. We need to call out those who are spies and operate for our colonial masters interests . There are those that think the SNP can still be turned around. Ash Regan, was the last hope. We hear about the mythical 15 ,the Rebels. I don’t see any rebellion or a likely Luke Skywalker. It’s just a ploy to keep you voting for them. What I see is a party infuriated and its highracy taken over by a Unionist cabal run by MI5 yes the Evil empire. We need to free ourselves from delusional thinking and vote for other independence parties. The colonial handbook of the suppression of the indigenous native population has been opened and the first acts of deception committed to create chaos and disarray. Deny the natives a political voice.
The real struggle for independence has just begun.

  12. Correct Iain, the SNP has become part of the ‘union’ imperial hoax, as postcolonial theory predicts, and acts only to block and prevent independence.

Colonialism as we know involves racism, prejudice and worse, with fascism at its root (Fanon). As we see, the dominant compromised national party has become ‘part of the racket’ and is now ‘an instrument of coercion’. The sooner it is removed the better; ‘colonialism is like a cancer’, it seeks only to spread and destroy a people/culture.

Unfortunately, none of our independence parties yet appreciate that independence means decolonisation, such is the rudimentary knowledge of those who claim to want to liberate our people and nation; and from what must ‘a people’ be liberated from other than oppression in all its forms?

Until a nation’s leaders can properly diagnose the ‘colonial condition’ the people are suffering from, it stands to reason they are unlikely to find the right path toward the only ‘remedy’ – i.e. independence, liberation and self-recovery of a people and their culture.

Which brings us back to ‘the major weakness of the people’ (Fanon) and their need for better understanding about what independence means and why it is both urgent and essential:

    1. Alf can I just say how much I welcome your input to various blogs. I’ve been over at WOS, read btl and some nasty piece of work with a unmerited superiority complex seems to have it in for you. I know it’s probably water off a duck’s back but I hope you know many of us value your expertise.

      1. I would not worry too much about the nasty piece of work over on WOS having a pop at Alf. He is either a heavy weight troll that is getting a salary for his efforts which means that wee scamp Alf is worrying his paymaster or he is just a sneering bully sitting his parents loft in his union jack shorts and needs to get out more. His superiority complex is entirely unmerited either way. I am sure Alf is big and ugly enough not to let the fool get under his skin.

This tartan-draped courtier loves Bwitain so much, he’d lead a charge of the light brigade to save Rockall for the nation.
In the last few years, there’s been very few people that have sharpened the focus of the lens through which we see our predicament but Alf has done it. Has anyone else put their mind to work like he has? One other perhaps…

    2. I agree with panda paws. You’re doing a grand job, Alf, in educating the Scots public as to the sickness (colonialism) and the only possible cure (independence). I, too, read all your comments and am always amazed at how well you link the writings of Fanon and Memmi together into a substantive whole and how accurately it reflects our current predicament. We need to first understand things, before we can change them for the better.

  15. I have an early experience of the SNP imposing a candidate on a constituency over the heads of several good, local possibilities. In the 2015 Council Elections Rihanna Spears was imposed on the Branch when we had at least three local members who would have been excellent. We were given no choice and as a consequence we lost several good activists such was the bad feeling caused.
The lady in question was notable by her absence from all branch activities and I really cannot say what she did for the people in her ward. But she was an HQ favourite as her views coincided with the First Minister’s in all important issues.
The ordinary members were left bemused by the high-handed actions of HQ and we were not equipped to oppose it as it was contrary to what had been accepted practice up until then. Little did we know it was the thin edge of the wedge.

SNP cultists do not realise that that also applies to the three arrested and questioned on Operation Branchform. Why those there were arrested and questioned under caution.

  18. You know whereof you speak, Iain. The Woke infested SNP are corrupt and rotten to the core and rather than select candidates with the rectitude, knowledge and ability to defend Scotland, they insist instead on leaving the gates wide open for our nation to be pillaged and ransacked at will by our southern neighbour. John Buchan said that an atheist is someone with no invisible means of support; unfortunately Scotland is a nation with no visible means of defence.

Shallow people lacking in principles are easily bought so it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if the rumours about envelopes stuffed with cash changing hands are true, just not brown ones. “Envelopes – WHITE!”

And you are, of course, quite right about the distinction between the Scottish and English crowns, but Westminster needs to keep up the pretence (hence today’s pantomime) because heaven forbid that the Scottish people and the wider world should come to realise that “legally in terms of International law the UK is not a “voluntary union” but in practice an illegal annexation by England of Scotland’s resources”. In terms of regnal numbers, one could say Charles the Third of England and Charles the Naught of Scotland!
