HOW TO TAKE OVER A PARTY.

WITH A LEADERSHIP ELECTION LOOMING AND THE NEC ALREADY AMENDING THE TIME FRAME TO SUIT AND ADVANTAGE “KNOWN” FIGURES THIS ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS HOW FAIRNESS AND DEMOCRACY WAS REPLACED IN THE SNP AND ORDINARY MEMBERS WERE STRIPPED OF ALL INFLUENCE.

TO THE WOKE, CHALLENGE THE FACTS IF YOU CAN.

I published the article below before last year’s SNP Conference. I have several new articles coming in the lead up to the 2022 Conference but in view of the latest moves to recreate a very different National Council to the democratic and balanced body that existed in the past and the move to give every Tom, Dick and Harry affiliate group 6 places each but other controls and appointed places for others means the ordinary membership is once again facing being swallowed up by the payroll vote and these affiliate allies whose existence is entirely dependent on supporting every wacky policy of the Woke. I will publish a new article on this in the next couple of weeks but this can serve as a reminder of the past until then.

With the SNP CONFERENCE looming in a matter of weeks I thought it might be a good idea to rerun an earlier article published a while back that looked at some of the problems and how they had been “created”. Have a read and then ask is there any evidence, that the current SNP LEADERSHIP have taken any steps to rectify them or have things got worse?

HOW TO TAKE OVER A PARTY

It should not be easy to do. It represents a huge risk to democracy if it is allowed to happen. Particularly if it is a Party of Government.

Here in Scotland we have seen it happen over the course of a few years. The Scottish National Party, a well established Party with a record of exemplary democracy in its long history and justifiably regarded as having one of the most open and Democratic systems of internal organisation and operation has witnessed a ruthless and unfaltering series of “internal reforms” , which has distanced the control the ordinary members and branches previously exercised in its decades of operation.

The impact of these “reforms” have already been disastrous, leading to thousands of members leaving and the creation of several new rival parties aligned to the policy of Independence for Scotland. The impetus for this being directly associated with other issues, promoted by minority groups who were the big winners in the “reforms” grabbing control of the Party’s ruling body, the National Executive Committee (NEC).

This control of the NEC was accompanied with the removal of the Party’s National Council which was the crucial quarterly meetings where delegates from the branches met to question office bearers and to openly discuss various policy and tactical matters. By getting rid of National Council accountability in the Party was effectively ended, leading to a much more authoritarian leadership who have felt free to impose policy. Policies of their choice not the Party.

Examples of this are GRA, HATE CRIME BILL etc which are described as SNP Policy but which have never been discussed or voted on at any Party Conference, the ultimate policy decision body in the Party. Worse, issues that were debated and passed at Conference on issues like currency and maritime policy development have been ignored simply because they were decisions a handful of people at the top of the Party did not support. The leadership just ignored the votes as if they had never happened. This would have been impossible to happen before these “reforms”

The “Missing” Money

Organisation has also been ruthlessly amended to the detriment of accountability. Concerns were correctly voiced about the missing £600k that was raised from members and non members alike. At first it was denied that it had been spent, members got letters explaining it was “woven through the accounts”.The National Treasurer responsible for that letter was judged at the subsequent Party Conference election and he was replaced as National Treasurer by Douglas Chapman MP who was elected by delegates on the promise of discovering the whereabouts of that money then advising the membership of the truth of the matter. This did not go well, when he requested sight of the full accounts on behalf of his Audit Committee, the Chief Executive Officer, Peter Murrell, the husband of the current leader, refused to let him see them. This despite his clear mandate from the Party Membership for him to do so. When it became clear nobody was going to tackle Murrell over this Douglas, plus three others on his audit committee resigned on the basis he was not being given access to the information he and his committee required to carry out the tasks. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE PREVIOUS TREASURER, WHO HAD BEEN REJECTED BY CONFERENCE WAS REAPPOINTED, MINUS THE REQUIREMENT OF ANY ELECTION. The recent secret Governance Report, of which more later, suggested Party officials I.e. Mr Murrell were more suited and able to maintain the accounts that any elected Treasurer, what’s more it set strict conditions on who could sit on any Audit Committee insisting on NEC oversight of membership and a condition that any committee contained a majority of NEC members. Pretty much guarantees an “innocent verdict” if investigating the financial management of the NEC!

MORE TO COME

Earlier this year I was leaked, from several sources, a copy of the Governance Report which were the planned future “reforms”, initially scheduled to be implemented at this Conference however the furore raised by my article and some mrmbers reaction to it, resulted in the leadership taking fright and relegating it to a sub committee for further discussion. Note, it has not been ditched, just delayed. Clearly with the current unrest and dissatisfaction in the Party now is not the time to be further relegating members input and handing even more control to the Woke faction on the NEC, INCREASING their unelected numbers while HALVING the number of elected area representatives across the country.

The political influence of the Woke faction led to highly irresponsible actions, like ignoring legal advice and fiddling the list rankings for the SNP across Scotland that ensured placing Woke candidates in the number one slot in every region in Scotland. It passed the NEC on the Woke chairperson’s casting vote. It was a tactic designed to get rid of one person, the very popular MSP and best supported MSP in the Borders region Joan McAlpine, who was guilty of supporting women’s rights. The “ election results” that determined these placings were never made public. The legal advice warned to do this could lay the Party liable for “damages” amounting to a six figure plus amount if someone affected in the way it happened to Joan McAlpine chose to sue the Party for damages. Knowing the state of the Party finances this was a very big consideration for those NEC members who had assets, like owning their own homes  which would be vulnerable if the Party lost any expensive court case and NEC members became personally responsible for the debt. I know, for certain, that this was a big consideration for some of the NEC members who resigned shortly thereafter and who can blame them?  It was clear to them they were on a reckless committee that had no compunction in endangering the wellbeing of the other committee members. The legal advice suggested the Party would be likely to lose, so they should all be grateful that Joan McAlpine did not choose to take the matter further.

The amount of bullying and intimidation on the NEC was ridiculous and completely ignored (supported) by the Party leadership. There was a very good reason for this. At the previous Conference there had been a reaction to the Woke takeover and several of their leading members lost their elected positions. There was a successful campaign, headed the “good guys”, which promoted non Woke male and female candidates which commenced the minute the nominations were published in advance of the Conference. Leadership favourites took a trouncing so their surviving unelected Allies on the NEC made life very difficult for those that were elected in their place. This resulted in several of them leaving and joining Alba and surprise, surprise those leadership favourite candidates, who were beaten for the positions in the full Party Elections the previous year, were reappointed to their previous positions, just like the replacement National Treasurer, all without the need for  any election!. The favoured few eh?

THE NITTY GRITTY

That is enough background let’s get down to the nitty gritty what is happening now and who are these people who hold such power and how did they get there?

Well let’s start with the Conference and Annual Elections due later this week. The leadership have determined there will be no “good guys” campaign this time. How is this achieved? Well you don’t know whose standing yet, do you? As I write this we are days away from the Conference but the names of the candidates are only going to be released in the Conference Handbook, unlike previous years where this information was available well in advance. Close of nominations was in early November so there is no reason this information could not have been posted on My SNP letting members and branches know in advance and have some discussion about whom they should be supporting. That would be way too democratic for the current leadership, they were badly burnt the last time elections were held. You are supposed not to notice this intentional shrinking of the time period. Clever manipulation is it not? You will get the required info a handful of days before Conference, too short for any organised campaign to be operated successfully, leaving the organised Woke faction with a big advantage. This is the current leadership treating internal democracy with total contempt, playing the system to disadvantage the ordinary membership, while helping to promote and defend the Woke wing. It is blatant when its pointed out but it seems nobody else but me was willing to do it. It now operates on Stalinist lines where folk go along with it out of fear. Freedom fighters, I don’t think so!

Now here is some fresh information that I personally find quite stunning. I have highlighted before the incredible number of places on the NEC that are non elected by the Party membership. These are places that have been crucial in several key votes yet what is the justification for them being on the NEC in the first place? For back ground when I served on the NEC there were only two appointed positions, everyone else was elected directly by the ordinary members at Party Conference. The non elected places were handed to the Young Nationalists and also the Student body. This is how I first met Nicola Sturgeon she was one of the appointees.

To put this into context the latest published  total of SNP membership is 119,000. There are currently 16 elected Area Representatives meaning each rep is there for approx 7500 members. Note that the Governance Report recommends halving that number of Regional Reps to one per region effectively meaning that one position in each area would be representing 15,000 members each.

LETS HAVE THOSE NUMBERS

So how does that compare with the other groups that have unelected seats on the NEC?

Let’s start with BAME. They have two seats on the NEC and have had them for the last few years. One of these positions is a Vice Convener making whoever holds that post a Senior Office Bearer. A non elected one.

In figures leaked to me they currently have less than 250 members. Yes for less than 250 members you get two places, One a Vice Convener and another one for good measure.

And it’s not just Bame, let’s look at Out4Indy who are also in receipt of a Vice Convener and another seat on the NEC as well. How many members do they have to justify those two places?

Out4Indy have under 400 members

Let’s keep going, the Disabled Group have one NEC place. They currently have just under 500 members.

Likewise Scots Asians for Independence have a place on the NEC. They currently have just over 100 members. That figure may be substantially reduced given the recent Indian Council in Scotland decision withdrawing support from the SNP because of the actions of Mr and Mrs Yousaf.

I think many members will find the number of seats and Vice Convener positions available against those numbers quite astonishing. They should, this is blatant political engineering handing exceptional favourite status and influence to a very small number of people. All at the expense of the ordinary membership. It’s a fix and now that I have made the official numbers public it has been brought into full view. There can be no doubt of this.

The reality is it could well be even worse, there is a significant number of members who are members of several of these groups and are therefore double, or even treble counted. How do I know that? Well Fiona Robertson, having being kicked off the NEC in the last elections turned up as a “substitute” delegate to the NEC for several of these different organisations in the course of the year before being reappointed without an election to her previous post after her elected successor left to join Alba.

Now of course it can be argued these groups represent important issues, but others are as well. For instance the Trade Union movement involves just under 30,000 members but they have no automatic place on the NEC.

My suggestion is all these groups should form a sub committee of the NEC and the chairperson of that sub committee should have a seat on the NEC. THAT WOULD BE FAIR AND BALANCED. Excluding the Trade Union figures that would give one place on the NEC for at most, ignoring duplicate membership and counting them all, of 1250 members covering all these groups. One seat would still be much more generous than afforded to ordinary members in any region in the country. AT THE MOMENT THESE TINY AFFILIATE GROUPS HAVE SIX SEATS INCLUDING TWO VICE CONVENERS (senior office bearers). Of course there are many others appointed in addition to these groups as well. The need for ordinary members votes and support are increasingly a thing of the past when it comes to the NEC! I think we all know why that is.

Now the leadership have been anticipating this information eventually becoming public as they knew from previous posts that I was working on getting those secret membership numbers, so readers may remember they recently sent out a message to encourage members to join these groups. I am sure I will get an update on the “success” of that recruitment campaign in due course but it has an incredibly long way to go to provide evidence that these Vice Convener and NEC positions are in any way justified.

There is no doubt that the actions of the representatives of some of those elevated to the NEC VIA THE APPOINTED FROM GROUPS  route has been hugely divisive and disruptive as they dominated NEC discussion with a very different agenda to those who were there to forward and deliver Independence. I know of several well respected and long serving party members, serving on the current NEC who will not be re standing for election partly because of this and witnessing meetings turning into pointless events that do nothing to advance the Independence cause.

Another issue that needs attention is the increasing role of paid staff in the Party Organisation. They form a key voting block at any Conference and while not yet being able to outvote the ordinary membership can when organised be very effective in forcing through leadership, as opposed to members wishes. This is a particular danger at online conferences. Limits to this need discussed and a quota system introduced. Given the number of Mp’s and Msp’s there are potentially many hundreds of people involved.

THE NAME REVEALED

So I promised a name, the key architect of these “reforms” that removed members influence and power, helping to create an unchallengeable leadership, empowering a staff takeover in the form of Peter Murrell to take responsibility and control for issues that were previously, normally the remit of elected Senior Office Bearers of the Party. To cut out any ability to question the leadership on any issue and enable the leadership to introduce new policy measures like the HCB and GRA without any input or challenge from the ordinary membership whatsoever.

Now of course it wasn’t one person alone who did all this because common sense ensures the Party Leader must be involved and in support as must her husband, the Party CEO, but the person most responsible and in my view the key architect of these moves is ANGUS ROBERTSON. It was no coincidence it was him who introduced these “simple” alterations to the constitution at a sparsely attended lunchtime session at Conference a couple of years ago. Ever since the entire Party and Yes Movement have paid a heavy price for delegates not realising the significance of what was happening and going for a cup of tea at the vital time. He is a master puppeteer and manages to stay in the shadows while pulling all the key strings. He of course accompanies these moves with another quiet programme to establish himself as a shoe in when Nicola stands down. He then hopes to enjoy the Stalin like total control of the Party he helped create for Nicola.

Let’s all hope the WORKERS Revolution takes place before that disaster befalls Scotland and the Independence Movement.

This is a democratic outrage, tiny numbers of Woke people have been handed power over the ordinary membership through the introduction of corrupt reforms precisely designed to create this outcome. Those responsible should be deeply ashamed but so should all the elected members enjoying high salaries but ignoring these conniving measures being introduced to sideline the ordinary membership and establish dictatorial power for the Leader to ruthlessly control the Party to her whims. Past members who worked and died to further the Independence cause and built this once great Party have been betrayed. I can never forgive those responsible for that. The SNP have their conference later this week, is there any chance some are brave enough to raise the content of this article or are they all enjoying life being re educated and bribed in the political gulag?

In conclusion I wish to pay tribute to a few senior members of the SNP WHO SHARED MUCH OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS ARTICLE WITH ME IN THE HOPE THAT THE WIDER SNP MEMBERSHIP WOULD FIND OUT WHAT WAS REALLY HAPPENING. IN STURGEON’S SNP. THAT TOOK SOME BRAVERY AND TRUST. THANK YOU!

I am, as always

  1. A wee bit prescient with that article Iain. The cabal have attempted to destroy the independence movement on two fronts. The first from within, as is so clearly pointed out in your article above. The second? Potential support from ‘no’ waverers. The governance of Scotland in recent years by the SNP/Green alliance has been abysmal. A friend of mine, a no voter, who is furious with Westminster Tories’ policies which are crippling the country, admitted the other day, that, if things had been better here she just might have been persuaded to my side of the constitutional debate. I’ve no doubt there are others like her.
Oh for the days of the democratic SNP and the government of Alex Salmond whose aim was to show Scotland that yes we can.

    1. For a long time I have thought Sturgeon was destroying the movement quite deliberately. Recently however folk have spoken out about her sitting like an angry damp fog in joint ministerial meetings until she had an opportunity to make a snarky remark. It might have been Hancock who said it. Childish? Like wasting millions on ferries and billions on wind farm sea bed sales? Childish like Black who finally showed up for work to announce the left must remain unchallenged and unaccountable? Clearly no-one told her the left is active, competent and about equality for all – not witch finding combined with staggering incompetence. It may be that we are witnessing the end of the SNP – incredible as that would have seemed in 2014. Unless this party can reclaim itself from the entitled entryists it is done now. My hope is that as the iron grip of Sturgeon and her cabal is loosened we get the truth of the Salmond affair and the competent hope of our cause can be rehabilitated. Tying our cause to the SNP now feels like standing on the dock side with an iron chain wrapped around us.

    2. I did try to give you a ‘like’ but that button doesn’t seem to like me.

Iain , your article is informatively depressing . The people on whom I relied to take Scotland to Independence have squandered that vote and taken a foolish , disgusting , corrupt route elsewhere- aided and abetted by the cowardly, unionist media of Scotland.

As a P.S I was delighted to find you in my in-box as opposed to searching for you in favourites.

    3. “Shouting up a close“ is the phrase which sums this all up – shout all you want but no-one is listening. I think I said before that Nicola and Co do not want independence cos they will be out a job !

  2. Last night Craig Murray was a guest on George Galloway’s YouTube programme MOATS. He was asked who would replace NS and he said it would be Angus Robertson (thanks to MI5 etc.) I am paraphrasing here and hope I have the info correct. Craig, of course, would not choose Robertson.

  3. This post was revealing at the time and also prophetic where small hand-picked numbers control a huge organisation like the SNP (not as huge as it once was though).

From the peak in 2020 of 126,000 members, by August 2022 that had dropped to just 104,000 members. However, we know that the numbers leaving has accelerated since that HoC information was released last year. I wonder how many members they have now!

This is the real legacy of Nicola Sturgeon’s anti-democratic drive to control everything that happens within the SNP. The removal of the National Council should have been the final straw to send members rushing for the nearest exit but the faithful still believed in her secret Plan B that was never revealed.

It must have been really hard for the Scottish government to make such a massive mess of any project they undertook, culminating in Sturgeon’s biological reclassifications.

If someone wanted to design how to demolish support for Scotland’s independence, they could not have bettered what the SNP has done to disaffect voters since Nicola Sturgeon took control her party! Now that she has resigned her positions as party leader and FM, the final “nail in the coffin” for the SNP would be to elect a Nicola clone or anyone tainted by support for the policies that have resulted in the demise of what was once an exemplar of democracy.

  4. Absolutely no chance of a proper selection and election of a new leader.

The SNP processes are utterly rigged and that rigged system will deliver the next leader.

But a leader of what. The SNP is finished. The collapse in electoral support has only just begun.

The SNP is now a blocker to independence. Their departure will not be missed.

A new movement is rising. And therein lies our future.

  5. Oh my. I see Robertson is not standing:
Mr Robertson, who was previously the SNP’s leader in Westminster, was considered to be a potential choice given his relatively high profile compared to other frontrunners.
However, he said that due to having “two very young children, the time is not right for me and my family to take on such a huge commitment”.

    Read as:
It’s not in the bag. The one thing we don’t want is a competent person putting Scotland first. The only way to be sure to stop Forbes is to work the guilty mother angle. Cheap shot.

If Sturgeon accomplished her car crash with 24/7 commitment then frankly the mind boggles.

Terrified of Forbes? I think so.

    Liked by 5 people

    1. “Terrified of Forbes”? And so we should be! Forbes has demonstrated hypocrisy since being elevated to Finance secretary courtesy of Sturgeons patronage. Forbes made no attempt publicly to offer support to Joan McAlpine OR Joanna Cherry when they were being attacked from within the SNP by the twittler youth and their handlers.

Forbes most recently chose the cowards exit during the recent GRR(Bill) fiasco at Holyrood and turned her back on women and their right to safe spaces by non participation in the debate and voting process owing to ‘maternity leave commitments’. But wait, here she is now rushing back tae ‘work’ when she sees a chance as pretender tae Sturgeons throne?

Scotland requires leadership where INTEGRITY is paramount. Ash Regan may have just demonstrated that in her stance against that appalling GRRR debacle. Forbes can have NO claim to that credential!!

  6. So after all the effort to get Angus to Holyrood by fixing the selection process the wee scamp decides not to stand for party leader to spend more time with his young family. Very commendable I am sure and nothing to do with the hacked e-mails and missing £600,000 . I suspect a canny operator like Angus can see the storm coming and would rather it engulfed the hapless Humza than him but be in no doubt Angus in the top job has not gone away. Looking at the comments there appears to be a village short of an idiot.

  7. Humza the MSM and the nuSNP troughers choice.
On another matter did anyone see the EBC programme on Sturgeon last night ? There was a clip from the October Conference at Aberdeen the hall was empty of supporters.

  8. One thing for sure is that if Humza is selected by the Sturgeoite coterie of control, the electoral demise of the SNP will be even quicker than we presently think.

And that of course may be very good since it will allow our independence movement to more quickly realign.

Humza kis a dirty piece of work, convicted of driving without insurance, whilst heading to an overnight function with his not then wife, a colluderin using reporters to masquerade as faux parents to entrap and set up a nursery who didn’t have a space for the great man’s child, the then putting of the popular nursery through the government inspector wringer, the cousin of a man in the know who stood for candidate selection in Ayrshire using an alternative name from the one he used when he was a director of an Islamic charity that could not account for nearly half a million of government grant. And a man who arranged a meeting 19 days in advance to discuss a man on death row thereby avoiding having to vote on gay marriage.

But hey ho, if Yousaf is selected by the rigged mechanisms of a rigged party, then at least he and his ilk will be gone sooner.

    1. The troughers and unionists have a clear tactic:
Focus entirely on the faith of Forbes – ask every question within that framework and misreport the answers
Get Humza in post to pilot the party crash landing. Scapegoat Humza will be put out to pasture after the next election.
Robertson will announce his young family are now old enough to change gender and he can return as FM – the MI5 fav will squat in place as block on independence, just like Sturgeon.

  9. Forbes and Humza are the only two candidates getting coverage with the BBC . This tells me that they the UK,Ok’s establishment choice. Ash Regan is getting no coverage this must be because the dark state fear her and they do not want her to get the job, as a consequence she must be a true patriot. She has a plan to end the coercive Union she also will work with Alba.
Let’s she gets the chance of Leadership.

    1. I hear what you are saying but the only time Westminster will recognise an election as a de facto referendum is when we fail to meet this very high bar. This would set YES back by decades – which is why I believe Sturgeon floated the idea.

Using a Holyrood election to demand the S30 order is exactly what Salmond did – but he did this on a majority of seats under d’Hondt. A first past the post majority is much less compelling and the way Sturgeon addressed that is all but unobtainable.

I think that at every Holyrood election there should be a separate ballot paper to vote on whether or not we want a referendum – and whichever party is in power has to deliver on that decision. If Forbes or Regan win then I see the Greens pulling out of the deal with the SNP and a Holyrood election coming soon – an opportunity?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. You dont need a section 30. All you need is a majority and that was according to Thatcher. A referendum under the present voting franchise is a Trojan horse for the Union . Get a majority in a plebiscite then negotiate the end of the union, that is democracy, unfortunately under Sturgeon we did not have anyone to inact our 6 mandates . The Colonial masters section 30 asking permision that will never come that is Westminsters game. They constantly change the goal post and they always will . Scotland has been at this point before the First World war. We will get nothing from our colonial masters law or their Parliament, playing their game with a rigged hand in their favour. We need to build bridges with our European neighbours, and international community. Come the time they will all like to take the feet from the toothless British lion.

        Liked by 2 people

      2. I agree Alistair – we never needed an S30 order and Salmond never asked for one. He banged the table and demanded a referendum because of his majority. Cameron accepted this mandate and Whitehall came up with the S30 are the means to make it happen. There was never any question of asking for an S30 order – that what Sturgeon did, on her knees.

Thatcher accepted a majority of independence MPs returned by Scotland would open negotiations – and who has invalidated that in the eyes of the world? Sturgeon and her gutless MPs. But apparently the faithful want more of the same.

Looking at the feral rat attack the SNP are currently carrying out on Forbes for refusing to deny her faith – while not imposing it on anyone else – I wonder what we have in Holyrood. This attack from the MSM and her own colleagues comes down to: deny your faith or you will be denied office. I fear for us – we need out of this union and out of this nightmare Sturgeon has created in Scotland.

        Liked by 2 people

      3. to clarify my remarks regarding Forbes being forced to deny her faith:
Look at the sophistry here. Humza is a practicing Muslim. What would happen if he was asked if he would support a direct conflict with Islamic teachings? Would anyone dare to ask? He arranged to be in Pakistan Consulate for the vote on gay marriage. Is that integrity? No, it’s politics. We are watching the destruction of a decent, honest woman because she refuses to deny her faith no matter how much she points to not imposing it on others and respecting the democratic will. I thought the nuSNP could not make me feel any more disgusted with them but this sophistry and abuse is beyond anything.

    2. apologies: Humza was not in India, he was at the Pakistan consulate:”HUMZA Yousaf is facing questions over his record on gay marriage after it emerged he arranged a meeting that clashed with a key vote, ensuring he missed it. ”

      Then a bit later
” This revealed then minister for parliamentary business Joe FitzPatrick requested on 14 January 2014 that Mr Yousaf be present in the chamber for the gay marriage vote.

Two days later, on 16 January, Mr Yousaf himself requested a meeting with the Pakistan Consul General in Glasgow on the day of the vote, thereby creating a clash. “

    3. I’ve read that Regan is holding back from launching her media campaign to phone and talk to SNP members with a vote online, and that she’ll launch her media campaign possibly tomorrow, but yes the Britnat media are bigging Yousaf, at Forbes expense.

Forbes could’ve stymied the GRRB by voting against it whilst off on maternity leave, but she didn’t she was hedging her bets, and cut short her maternity leave conveniently to jump on the bandwagon to become leader.

Also Forbes gave an interview BBC I think, in which she said she wasn’t keen on a 50+1% indy victory and that she wanted to build up the indy masses to such a number that Westminster would need to take notice.

We should all get behind Ash Regan’s bid for leader, her mission statement puts independence front and centre.

  10. Humza Yousaf was caught driving without insurance with a woman who was at that time not his wife. They were heading to an overnight party.

Now marriages break down, husbands cheat or have lax marital arrangements. That’s life but this is a practicing Muslim who is now decrying someone else ‘s Christian faith.

Contrite, moral, devout, it seems that Mr Yousaf doesn’t know the words, would sell his God out in a heartbeat.

His religious smear against Forbes tells you all you need to know about this practicing Islamist and his MP. Or maybe he just hates Christians, thinks of them as infidels.

Well here’s news for Humza, the Free Church of Scotland was established long before people like Humza appeared on the scene stirring religious discontent.

And yes, this is the very same guy who was screaming racial discrimination when the great man could not get a place in a popular Dundee nursery that was full.

Not the type of guy you’d want as first minister.

  11. This election for a new leader will prove once and for all if the nuSNP and its membership truly want independence. A vote for the old guard, for gradualist, devolutionist, Devomax, Britnat Westminster lead policy, will change nothing and prove the ulterior motives or gullible stupidity of members. There is only one candidate that has promised independence, nothing less, and will work to remove the present obstacles in all their forms whilst working with others to achieve that goal. The players, the choices and the end product are so different that the membership when all is said and done couldn’t say that they didn’t know what they were voting for. This will either be the rescuing of a Scottish party from the grip of the British State like a phoenix rising from the ashes or it will be the death of the SNP. I watch with interest.

  12. Well the knives seem to be out for Kate Forbes over her personal beliefs. The usual suspects and the reptiles in the media are wading in great style and it is not an easy watch. Were she to win I can see another flounce off from the gender benders to the Scottish greens. Ross Greer is saying the Greens will withdraw their support for the government if she wins. If she withdraws the full force of the cult will be turned on Ash as Humza seems to be anointed one since Angus did a runner. I suspect the SNP is beyond repair as whoever wins there is going to discontent and a lot of infighting. In other news Salvo are busy setting up hubs across the country so I am now a proud member of the Highlands and Islands hub and look forward to what happens next.

    1. ALBA and Salvo keep me sane. Thanks heavens for them.

The pity is that the soft NO vote likes Forbes – read the comment streams on the unionist press – they think that the savaging of Forbes amounts to a hate crime and they do have a point. Forbes is the one who actually could turn the SNP into a vehicle for independence so the mighty machine of the dark state will be unleashed on her, alongside the poisonous nuSNP.

      1. Reading the comments on The National it looks like the grassroots SNP realise Forbes is the best shot at delivering independence – who’ll take the bet the SNP NEC engineer her suspension from the party before the vote? The MI5 plants are in full panic mode and sadly I expect they will succeed.

      2. final thought on suspending Forbes for saying – when mendaciously asked – a trans women is a biological male:
Can a trans woman get prostate cancer?

        – the answer is yes – Kate should show her mettle get someone – a KC perhaps – to fight on this one. The SNP should be clamoring to end their deal with the creepy Greens.

  13. I suspect that UK politics is full of MI5 moles. Scotland is certainly swarming, if that’s what moles do, with them. They were probably responsible for the divisive gender agenda developing traction. And better not dwell on the Alex Salmond matter.
They are at work dividing and confusing the leadership contest. Religion and race seem the themes at the moment. Forbes good, Yousaf bad or is it the other way around or is Regan secretly planning to trans, stuff like that.
Whatever the medium or the message trust has gone. Do your research, in depth, take nothing as gospel.
Bleak maybe but vital to sanity. Oh, and check under the bed.
Have a splendid day and brush up on Machiavelli.

  14. Irony alert.

Heaven forbid that the SNP leadership race would come down to strategy. If it does, then Ash Regan is winning hands down.

  15. Reblogged this on Calculus of Decay and commented:
In America, parties are taken over with money – backed by blackmail, espionage, lawfare, campaign logistics support by giga-ultra-mega corporate behemoth conglomerates, private intelligence operations, etc
